This is a collaborative EP by myself and my rapper/producer friend Roskrow in his new role as producer under the pseudonym of "CatDad". He handles the beats and I do most of the vocals aside from one guest verse by Roskrow. Both of our contributions were made when we were in a dark place individually. His beats channelled a dark feel but I heard hope in them too. I thought it would be different to do some positive lyrics over such a contrasting backdrop. "Wholesome content" is one of Roskrow's catchphrases and I'm quite into spirituality and philosophy, and the pursuit of contentment. So I thought it would be interesting to play on Roskrow's catchphrase, try to do a concept album about finding peace that could hopefully connect with everyone. Thus "Wholesome Contentment"! I try to form a narrative continuity with the songs, from feeling lost at the start and then progressively finding myself as the EP unfolds. A vague personal journey that I hope will resonate with anyone that might struggle to find peace of mind. Enough blabber. I hope that's given some context and I hope that this project can help uplift you in some way! The process of it helped both of us and we'd love to share that with you all!
